EU Project
website

The projects “Education for All in Times of Crisis I&II” and “Education Infrastructure for Resilience” aims to provide access of Syrian and Turkish communities to disaster-resilient educational facilities by planning and building education infrastructure through prefabricated technology to support education during times of crisis.

the
idea

The project aims to build 220 schools for Syrian and Turkish communities with a capacity of approximately 160.000 students in 19 provinces. This project is implemented by the Ministry of National Education Construction and Real Estate Department with the European Union (EU) financial support via the German Development Bank. Our idea was to create a website that was informative, interactive and engaging. This digital product allows people to interactively see real-time location data, pictures, videos, news, and an interactive map within a user-friendly system.

the
challenge

Different types of challenges were experienced during the project implementation process. After careful research, we mapped out multiple layers of live information onto geographical interfaces. We created a comprehensive interactive map outlining live information of school infrastructures, locations and the number of students for both of the projects. Our role was to take responsibility and provide guidance and continuity.

the
solution

Developing the platform’s capacity with a variety of complicated requirements on the WordPress website, we were able to deliver an end-product with a team of four developers in forty-five days. Within the projects, our team was able to design and build a responsive website that is accessible for all devices. As the projects evolve and change, we continue to improve Education Infrastructure for Resilience and Education for All in Times of Crisis I&II website through this process of evolution.
